I'm posting music links to contemporary independent musicians that I like, on independent labels, that seem to be inspired by traditional Country / Bluegrass. "Alt. Country / Bluegrass" as it's often referred to, seems to have emerged in the late 80's with bands like Uncle Tupelo, Freakwater, etc. I think they deserve more attention and support. Music plays a large role in the long hours making my furniture. And it helps drown out the sound of kids above me in my shop. These links reflect only my personal tastes... I will post them as I think of them. Please support these hard working artists...And take someone out to hear some music tonight...and buy their music. Support music in Schools, and all the Arts..
